News to know: Rental assistance, equity policy headed for school board vote, students to receive Lenovo laptops, Xello Family and more.
The VPS board of directors will hold a first reading of the policy at its Jan. 11, 2022, school board meeting. The board will vote on the policy on Feb. 8.
Technology changes are coming to VPS students in sixth through 12th grades in the 2022-23 school year.
Several VPS schools appear on U.S. News and World Report's 2021 list of leading high schools.
No start date has been set for testing at VPS schools. Before any optional testing will be offered at school sites, the district will have a plan in place that addresses logistics and safety, and will communicate information to staff members and families.
